Dr. Julie Blais
Dr. Julie Blais is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Dalhousie University. Prior to joining the department in July 2020, Dr. Blais was an Assistant Professor at Carleton University (2015-2020). She completed her doctoral work at Carleton University and held a post-doctoral fellowship at Brock University. Dr. Blais’ research can be divided into three interrelated areas: 1) examining forensic risk assessment and risk communication in the legal system, 2) understanding the role of psychopathy within risk assessments, and 3) examining personality correlates to both prosocial and antisocial behaviour, more broadly.

Luke Mungall
Luke Mungall is a PhD student in Experimental Psychology, who completed his BA in Psychology (Honours) at Mount Allison University in 2020. Luke is broadly interested in personality psychology, with specific interests in how personality traits influence political behaviours and attitudes. He is also interested in psychometrics, statistics, and science-based entrepreneurship.

Jennifer McArthur
​Jennifer McArthur is a PhD student in Experimental Psychology. She completed her BSc in Psychology (honours) and MSc in Applied Psychology from Saint Mary’s University. Jen’s background is in forensic psychology and her current research focuses on the causes and consequences of technology-facilitated violence. Her other research interests include personality and deception.

Charlotte Aelick
Charlotte Aelick is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology. She previously studied at Laurentian University where she obtained her HBA and MA in Psychology. Charlotte's research focuses on topics in forensic psychology. She is primarily interested in treatment, recidivism, risk assessment, and psychopathy.

Samantha Williams
Samantha Williams is a PhD student in experimental psychology. She holds an MSc in Applied Psychology (Forensic Stream) from Saint Mary's University. Samantha is broadly interested in studying sexual violence prevention and risk assessment. For her master's thesis, she completed a meta-analysis of the risk-related correlates of victim age polymorphism (i.e., sexually offending against victims in multiple age categories).

Melissa Corbett
Melissa Corbett is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology, co-supervised by Dr.s Julie Blais and Skye Stephens. She earned her MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology at Saint Mary's University, where her research focused on opioid overdose risk factors following incarceration. Her current research interests broadly encompass risk assessment and risk communication within forensic inpatient settings.
